Training course on different and similar approaches and realities of youth work and the different roles of youth workers within YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME

Our main aim is to discuss and share experiences from different and similar approaches and realities of youth work in different countries and to develop common understandings of youth work according to Youth In Action Program. The Training Course is supported by EU Youth in Action program (Action 4.3).

Learning objectives of the training course are:
- To develop necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth workers in order to realise local and international youth projects;
- To raise awareness of differences and to find similarities within youth work in European Union.
- To define and clarify the roles and tasks of youth workers in different local and international youth projects.
- To raise awareness and learn the ways to ensure active participation of young people during preparation, implementation and evaluation youth projects;
- To reflect on participants’ experiences and create recommendations for management of next projects within the program “YOUTH in ACTION”.
- To offer the opportunity to meet possible partner groups.
- The methodology of the training course:
- The course is designed as an open learning process based on participants’ experience and exchange. The training course will follow the non-formal education approach. A combination of the different creative and interactive methods will be used by the international trainers’ team and designed upon the profile of participants. The learning of new skills, the acquisition of knowledge and the exchange and challenge of each other’s attitude and experience are very important for this training course.

- theoretical inputs
- discussions on follow – up and activities after this training course.
The course program and contents are organized to allow for the maximum participation of the group using active and participatory methods.
Who can participate in the training course:
- Over 18 years old;
- Youth workers, directly working with young people, having experience of organizing at least one international youth project supported by Youth program;
- Ready to take part in the whole training course;
- Have organizational support for further activities with young people;
- To be able to communicate English language.
